Sign in to Your White Label Dashboard Through Salesforce

Single Sign-On (SSO) is like having a master key to unlock all the doors you need, instead of carrying a bunch of different keys for each door. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

In the digital world, these "doors" are websites or apps, and the "key" is your username and password. Normally, you'd have to remember separate passwords for each app or website you use. But with SSO, you log in once with one set of credentials, and you're automatically logged into all the connected apps without typing in your info again.

When logging in to Accelevents, aside from the default single sign-on options, you can integrate platforms that provide Single Sign-On, such as Salesforce.

When integrated with Accelevents, Salesforce allows event organizers to securely and easily access the Accelevents platform using SSO. This means your team can log in through a central authentication system (Salesforce), streamlining the process and improving security. Itโ€™s secure, convenient, and saves a lot of hassle.

To set this up, you will need to create a New External Client App in Salesforce, then we will need you to send us your Salesforce Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

Create An External Client App in Salesforce

  • Log in to your Salesforce Developer Account

  • Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner

  • Select Setup

  • Search for External Client App Manager in the search field and select it

  • Click New External Client App

  • Enter the Basic Information

    • External Client App Name

    • API Name - this will auto-populate based on the app name but can be customized if needed.

    • Contact Email - Enter an email address for the app owner or support team.

  • Expand the API (Enable OAuth Settings)

  • Check the box to Enable OAuth

  • In the Callback URL, enter https://www.accelevents.com/u/salesforce-callback

  • Add these Available OAuth Scopes to the Selected OAuth Scopes box.

    • Access the identify URL service (id, profile, email, address, phone)

    • Manage user data via APIs (API)

    • Manage user data via Web browsers (web)

    • Full access (full)

    • Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)

    • Access unique user identifiers (openid)

  • Click Create to save

Retrieve Consumer Key and Consumer Secret

  • Open the new external client app you created and go to Settings

  • Expand the OAuth Settings

  • Click Consumer Key and Secret

  • Copy both keys and send it to Accelvents Support

Log in Through Salesforce

Once configured, your White Label login page will have a Salesforce Login option. Click Login with Salesforce and enter your Salesforce credentials. If you're already logged in to Salesforce when you click Log in with Salesforce, it will redirect you to your White Label Dashboard.
