Match the Event and HubSpot Currency
If you have several events and different currencies will apply to each event, you can also set your HubSpot deal currency to match your event currency.
Add a Currency in HubSpot
In HubSpot, go to Settings > Account Management > Account Defaults.
Click on the Currency tab, then click Add Currency.
Click the dropdown to choose the currency and enter the exchange rate. Then click Save.
After you click Save, the new currency will now be added to the list of available currencies.
Change the Currency of a Deal and Line Item
Note: If you want all the deals to be in the target currency, then the steps below must done for each deal.
Go to CRM > Deals and open the deal
In the deal, click Actions, then Click View all properties.
Search for the Currency field and select the target currency. Then, click Save.
Go back to deal record and on the right hand side, look for Line items then click Edit.
Click Update pricing to add your target currency's pricing.
You can either choose the price from the custom exchange rate you set previously, or set a custom price.
Click Confirm.
Click Save.
Select Update deal amount.
Create a Workflow to Update Deal Currency
If you want to automate updating the currency field for all deals in your pipeline, you can create the workflow in HubSpot to ensure that all the deals will have your target currency.
Note: Keep in mind that the workflow will only update the currency in the deal, not the line item. The line items need to be edited manually.
Create a workflow from scratch.
Select the met filter criteria trigger.
Click Deal properties as the criteria, then choose Pipeline.
Choose the pipeline that has the deals that will be updated
Add an action.
Under Property to edit, select Currency.
Click Review and publish so the workflow is live.
Once you are done, you should be all set! When someone buys a ticket, the amount will instantly convert to the target currency.
