Skip the Lines Through Facial Recognition Check In
Long check-in lines are usually the first thing an attendee experiences at your event — and the first thing they complain about. With the Wicketsoft integration, attendees who opt in can walk up to a Wicket-powered device, show their face, and be checked in in seconds, with no QR code to find and no ticket to scan.
Wicketsoft is a facial authentication platform built for live events and venues. It's opt-in only: attendees choose to enroll and upload a selfie themselves, and anyone who prefers not to can still check in through the Accelevents kiosk, admin app, or a staff-run station as usual.
How Does it Work?
When attendees register for the event, they will receive a confirmation email and a second email from Wicket which has a link that will allow them to enroll for facial recognition. When they open the link, it will ask them to take a "seflie" that will serve as the main reference when they check in via facial recognition.
At the venue, staff will download the Wicket Edge app to mobile or tablet and configure it to allow attendees to check in via facial recognition. The front camera of the device will be enabled and the attendee will need to show their face within the frame, and that's it! When Wicket recognizes the attendee's face, they will be automatically checked in to the event.

In Wicket
In Accelevents
Go to Attendees > Orders

Click the 3 dot menu on the ticket holder

Note: If the attendee is not in the Wicket list and the invite is resent from here, they will be added to the list.
Resync Button in Accelevents
The resync button will do a couple of actions:
It sends a Wicket invite to attendees who have not previously received it.
It adds attendees to the Wicket list if they are not yet in the list and automatically sends the Wicket invite, even if they have previously received it.
Registration Changes in Accelevents
If the attendee name is changed in Accelevents, the name will not update in Wicket. If they have already enrolled for Wicket, it will still scan them even if the names are mismatched. The name that would appear in the success message would be the name in the Wicket list.
If the attendee email is replaced with another email in Accelevents (ticket transfer), a new profile will be added to the Wicket list and the new attendee will also receive the Wicket invite. The old attendee will not be removed from the wicket list, but since they don't have a ticket anymore, they won't be able to check in.
Test the Facial Recognition Enrollment
To see if the integration works, register for the event. Make sure that when you test this, you don't have a facial recognition record yet in Wicket. When you receive the email from Wicket, click the link and follow the steps to capture your photo.
After registering for the event and enrolling for facial recognition, you should see your profile in the wicket list along with the selfie you took. If your picture is showing there, then you're enrolled for facial recognition.

Test The Facial Recognition
As you go through the steps above to set up your device, you'll get prompts on your device to give permission to access your camera, find nearby bluetooth devices and local networks.
After you're done with the step to associate a list to your device, it would start initializing, then you should see your front camera turned on ready for facial recognition.
You may see instructions to move closer or move away from the camera so it can see you clearly. Once it recognizes you, you should get a success message and in Accelevents, your status should change to checked in.
If you don't move out of the camera's view after you've checked in, it will show a "Please Proceed Ahead" message. Once you move out of the camera's view, the camera will re-open for the next person in line.
Errors When Scanning
If you try to scan again and you're already checked in, you'll see "Sorry, [attendee name]! Already checked in" page.
If you have no ticket, even if you already enrolled for facial recognition, it won't allow you to proceed.
If your face is not recognized even if you have a ticket, it won't allow you to proceed.
Allow Check-In Re-Entry
If you want allow attendees to re-check in, you can enable this in your admin console. With this setting enabled, they won't get the "already checked in" page above, instead it would always give a success message when Wicket recognizes them.
Go to Settings > Settings
Select Check In & Printing
Enable Allow Check-In Re-Entry
Check In Report
If they get scanned multiple times and it's a success, multiple check in logs will be recorded and can be downloaded as a CSV report.
Go to Attendees > Check In Attendees
Click Download
Select Check-in logs to download the CSV report
