Sign in to Your White Label Dashboard Through Okta
Single Sign-On (SSO) is like having a master key to unlock all the doors you need, instead of carrying a bunch of different keys for each door. 🗝️
In the digital world, these "doors" are websites or apps, and the "key" is your username and password. Normally, you'd have to remember separate passwords for each app or website you use. But with SSO, you log in once with one set of credentials, and you're automatically logged into all the connected apps without typing in your info again.
When logging in to Accelevents, aside from the default single sign-on options, you can integrate platforms that provide Single Sign-On, such as Okta.
When integrated with Accelevents, Okta allows event organizers to securely and easily access the Accelevents platform using SSO. This means your team can log in through a central authentication system (Okta), streamlining the process and improving security. It’s secure, convenient, and saves a lot of hassle.
To set this up, we will need you to send us your Okta Client ID and Okta Domain URL.
Important Note:
To ensure that the Okta user can log in to your White Label login page, the user must be added as a team member in the White Label Dashboard and must create a password for the White Label account.
If you're testing multiple users in the same browser, ensure to clear your cache before logging in.
Get Your Okta Domain URL
Sign in to your Okta developer account https://developer.okta.com/signup/
Click the dropdown on your profile
Copy the Okta domain URL (e.g. https://dev-26824240.okta.com)
Get Your Okta Client ID
To get your Client ID, you must first create an app integration.
Go to Applications > Applications
Click Create App Integration
Select OIDC - OpenID Connect
Select Single-Page Application
Click Next
Add an App integration name
Check the box for Authorization Code under Grant Type
Check the box for Implicit(hybrid)
Add the Accelevents domain and your WL domain in Sign-in redirect URIs, Sign-out redirect URIs, and Base URIs
Select Allow everyone in your organization to access
Unselect Enable immediate access with Federation Broker Mode
Click Save
Copy the Client ID
Click the Sign On tab
Ensure that "Any Two Factor" is selected in the Authentication Policy.
SAML Configuration
Once you have the client ID and domain URL, send the information to Accelevents Support through chat. They will enter that information into your White Label Dashboard's SAML Configuration settings and click Configure to make it work. Please note that an Accelevents staff has to complete this step.
Log in Through Okta
Once configured, your White Label login page will have an Okta Login option.
Click Login with Okta
In the first pop-up, enter your Accelevents email and password, then click Login
In the second pop-up, enter your Okta username and password, then click Sign In
Enter the Okta 2FA code, then click Verify
