Do Participants Need to Register in Accelevents to Participate in an Auction or Raffle?

Participant Registration Requirement for Auctions or Raffles

Participants are asked to register when they bid or buy raffle tickets online. Take a look at this quick summary of the difference between participating online or via text message:

Auction

Participants will either log in or sign up

  • If it's their first time bidding, they won't be asked to log in or sign up, but they will be asked to confirm their first name and last name

  • If the participant does not confirm their first and last name, the bidder's name will appear as "Anonymous" if they are the highest bidder.

  • Since they are not asked for their email address, event admins will only have their phone numbers to contact them if they win.

Raffle

Participants will either log in or sign up

  • Participants will receive a text message with the URL of the fundraiser

  • The participant will either log in or sign up

How to Register When Participating in an Auction

  • Navigate to the Auctions page of your fundraiser.

  • Click Bid Now on their selected item

  • They would either be asked to Log in or to Sign up

  • If they already have an Accelevents account or if they have participated in an event before, they need to enter their email and password in order to log in


  • If they don't have an Accelevents account or have not participated in an event before, they will be asked for the following information:

    • Email

    • Phone number

    • Password

  • To sign up, the participant needs to fill in the requested information and click the Sign-Up button

Please note that when the participant bids via Text Message, the bidder is labeled as Anonymous until after the participant confirms their name.


How to Register When Participating in a Raffle

  • Navigate to the Raffle page of your fundraiser.

  • Click Buy Raffle Tickets

  • A pop-up window will show on the screen asking the participant to either login or sign up

  • If the participant would log in, this pop-up window would need to fill in the following information:

    • Email

    • Password

  • If the participant would sign up, a pop-up window would need to fill in the following information:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

    • Cell Number

    • Password

    • Number of tickets

    • Card information
