Importing Event Data from Sched to Accelevents
Integrating Sched with Accelevents can offer many benefits that streamline and enhance event management. Sched is a robust scheduling and agenda management platform, while Accelevents is a comprehensive virtual and hybrid event platform. By combining the strengths of these two tools, event organizers can create a seamless and engaging experience for attendees and event hosts.
With the Sched and Accelevents integration, you can import event data such as basic event information, sessions, speakers, and attendees from Sched to Accelevents. This synchronization minimizes the need for you to enter all this information manually and reduces the risk of errors.
Important Tasks Before Integrating:
Turn off the automatic order confirmation email sending if you don't want imported attendees to receive the email
Turn off the automatic speaker invite email sending if you don't want imported speakers to receive the email
Increase the number of tickets to accommodate all the attendees to be imported
Setting Up the Sched Integration
Go to Settings > Integrations
Turn on the toggle next to Sched Integration
Click Configure
Paste the domain (Sched event URL)
Paste the API Key (read-write Sched API Key)
Select the ticket type to be assigned to imported attendees
Click Save
After you click save, the data transfer should start. Refresh your page to see the changes. The event name, date, time, and timezone should be updated with Sched's information. If an event venue is indicated in Sched, it should also be reflected in the Accelevents Event Details tab.
The sessions, speakers, and attendees should also be added to Accelevents. It will include the following data:
Item | Transferred Information |
Sessions |
|
Speakers |
|
Attendees |
|
The integration resyncs every hour or every 15 minutes if the event is happening now or within 48 hours. If you want to push a sync ahead of schedule, click the Resync button in Settings > Integration.
