Object Action Settings

Every page object in the event website builder has settings on the right side content menu to customize the object's appearance and actions. Some of them have an Action section that allows you to add a specific action or response when the object is clicked, such as redirecting to another page or another section on the same page, sending an email, starting a call, or sending an SMS.

Open a Webpage

Paste the redirect URL and choose whether to open the URL on the current page or to open a new browser tab when the object is clicked.

Send Email

This will open a new tab when the object is clicked, where the page visitor's inbox will open to compose an email prefilled with the information you added in the Action settings.

Make a Call

When clicked, it will prompt the page visitor to call the phone number indicated if the device has calling capabilities.

Send an SMS

When clicked, it will open the device's SMS-sending application prefilled with the phone number and message you indicated in the Action settings.

Internal Link (and Block Identifier)

This action setting works together with another setting (Block Identifier) to create an Anchor Link. An Anchor Link is a page object that links to another object or location on the same page. They are typically used for long or text-heavy pages so visitors can jump to a specific part of the page without having to scroll as much.

The options in the dropdown will only appear when the Block Identifier is enabled for other objects on the page.

The Block Identifier setting is at the bottom of the content settings menu. The ID generates when you enable it. This ID is customizable; make sure to change the ID to a unique text that serves as a label or identifier for that object.

To make an Anchor Link:

  • Select the page object that should appear on top of the screen when clicking the anchor link. (e.g., Registration Text at the bottom of the page)

  • Enable Block Identifier on the right side menu

  • Change the ID to something easier to remember (e.g., Registration)

  • Copy the new ID

  • Select the page object where you want to add the anchor link (e.g., Buy Tickets Now button)

  • Go to the Actions section, select Internal Link on Link Type

  • Select the ID you created from the dropdown in the "Scroll to" field

The Action section can be found on the image and button objects, but the same settings can also be found in an icon, social, and menu object. The option will appear when you add an item from the right-side content menu.
