Customize the Attendee App

To ensure your attendees have the best experience using the attendee app, you must set it up to fit your attendee needs. You can customize the labels, colors, remove or rearrange menus and add custom pages. You can do all these in Event Design > Mobile App

Banner

In the Home tab, you can upload a Banner that will appear on top of the Home page when you enter the event.

Format: PNG, JPG, GIF - Size: 398px X 120px (Ratio 199:60)

Home Tab

In the Home Tab, you can add a banner image, rearrange the tiles and bottom navigation menu, customize the labels and icons in the home page.

Featured Tiles

The Featured Tiles are the buttons / menus in the middle of Home Page. By the default, all the buttons are shown in the app.

When you click Edit under Featured Tiles, you can rearrange these tiles, relabel them, choose or upload different icons and remove them from the app if not needed.

In a row, there can be up to 3 tiles. If you remove a tile from a row, the remaining tiles in the row will take up the extra space equally.

Custom Pages in the Attendee App

When you click Add tile, you can also create a custom page. You can add the button label, icon, and choose whether to show content that you've added, redirect to a URL or show a filtered event widget such as filtered agenda or exhibitors. You can also add stand-alone pages for Speakers and My Schedule, independent page from the agenda. Restrictions may also be added as to which ticket types will see this button in the attendee app.

After you save the custom page, click Add tile again and select it under existing pages to add it to the app. Custom pages can also be created and edited in the Pages tab.

Use Background Images For Tiles

By default, icons will appear on the tiles. If you want to use background images instead of icons, create a new row and select Image Tiles. Add the page / button you want to appear in the row and upload your image. PNG, JPG or GIF (1000 x 500px, ratio. 2:1)

Note: A row can have either icons or background images, you cannot have both in the same row.

Bottom Navigation

In the bottom navigation, a maximum of 5 buttons can be added. By default, the bottom navigation will have Home, Agenda, People, Expo, and Menu. Home and Menu cannot be removed and will always be at opposite ends. You can relabel them and change the icons too.

Branding (Colors)

In the Branding tab, you can customize the colors in different areas in the app. You can set an overall theme, apply custom colors in the home and menu tabs, add a background color to the header and bottom navigation, and add a custom background color or image to built-in app pages.

The branding feature is open to everyone right now. During this phase, we are collecting feedback and working to deliver an even better functionality. Longer term it'll live in our White Label plan.

App Theme

In App Theme, you can customize the following colors below for the overall look of your app, applied across every page. It doesn't just apply to the home tab, but for all the other pages too, like the Menu tab in the second screenshot.

Note: The colors apply to the pages inside the event, it does not apply to the app's landing page.

💡 Tip: If you plan to have different background colors for each page, we suggest leaving the App Theme Background color to white #FFFFFF, and adjust the color on each page instead.

Header & Bottom Bar Colors

In the Headers & Bottom Bar section, you can further customize the background colors, icons and labels of the header and bottom navigation.

If the icons & labels, active and inactive colors are not changed in the Headers & Bottom bar section, it will follow the colors set in the App Theme.

Home Tab Colors

If you want the home tab's colors to be independent from the app theme, you can customize it in the Home tab color settings. You can change the colors of the default icons, labels, background color of each tile and background color of the whole home tab.

You can also choose to upload a background image for the home tab instead of applying a color. Format: PNG, JPG, GIF - Size: 1080px X 1920px (Ratio 9:16)

If colors are not changed in this home tab settings, the app theme colors will apply.

Menu Tab Colors

If you want the menu tab's colors to be independent from the app theme, you can customize it in the Menu tab color settings. You can change the colors for the row label, icon, card background and page background.

If colors are not changed in this menu tab settings, the app theme colors will apply.

Built-In Pages Background Color or Image

To change the background color or background image of the built-in app pages, you can go to Pages > Built-In Pages. When you click Edit on a page, select Custom to choose a color or upload a background image. Format: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF - Size: 1080px X 1920px (Ratio 9:16)
