Custom Pages in the Attendee App

Aside from adding the default event menus to the attendee app's home or lobby, you can create custom tabs to feature specific event elements and add filters to it. This can all be done in the Page Repository tab in the Mobile App settings.

You can add the button label, icon, and choose whether to show content that you've added, redirect to a URL or show a filtered event widget such as filtered agenda or exhibitors. You can also add stand-alone pages for Speakers and My Schedule, independent page from the agenda. Restrictions may also be added as to which ticket types will see this button in the attendee app.

1. Create a Custom Page in the App

  • Go to Event Design > Mobile App

  • Select Page Repository

  • Click + New Custom Page

  • Enter the page name and add an icon

2. Choose What to Show in the Custom Page

In Button Action, you can choose to to show an external page by choosing Redirect to URL, or choose Open a custom page if you want to add your own content and / or display an event widget.

If you choose to redirect to a URL, you must add the URL and choose whether the page will open in the app or will open in their device's browser.

After creating the page, go back to the Home Tab to choose where to display it in the app.

If you're adding a survey link or a limited display link, you can also make sure that when they access the tab, it will log them in automatically to those pages.

Add Page Content

If you're adding content, you can add text, images, videos through the content editor.

Speakers

Speaker Widget

Instead of accessing the Speaker tab inside the agenda, you can create an app menu / button that will feature all speakers.

Filtered Agenda

Agenda Widget

Add the Agenda Widget to show sessions through its own menu / button. You can choose which sessions to be shown by adding session or track filters.

Hidden Sessions

Hidden session can only be seen by admins, but if you want attendees to see your hidden sessions, you can create custom tab, select the Agenda widget and enable Display sessions even if hidden.

Note: The setting already appears, but this is not available yet in the attendee app, stay tuned for updates!

Filtered Expo

If you want to showcase a particular booth, you can use the Expo widget and create a filter to show specific booths.

My Schedule

My Schedule Widget

My Schedule lives within the agenda, but you can use the My Schedule widget to create a separate menu / button for it in the attendee app.

3. Choose Who Can See This Page

By default, anyone who enters the event through the attendee app will see the custom page. If you want it to show only for a specific ticket type, you can enable Restricted Access and choose which ticket types can view this page.

4. Add the Page to the App's Home Page

After creating your custom page in the app, you'll need to add it to the app's home page so it will be displayed in the attendee app.

  • Go to Event Design > Mobile App

  • Choose Home Tab

  • Click Edit under Featured Tiles

  • Click + Add Tile

  • Look for the page you created and click Add

  • Click Save when you're done

Your new menu should show in the preview. You can log in to the app to view the content of your custom page.

Automatically Log in to Limited Display Links or Survey Links in the Custom Page in the Attendee App

If you've added a limited display link or a survey link to you custom app page, attendees can be automatically logged in when those pages load in the attendee app. You just need to tweak the existing URL.

For example, this is the Limited Display Link:

You'll need to add the below link BEFORE the Limited display link:

🟢 Your Limited Display URL for the app custom page should look like this:
