Why Do Login Loops Occur, and How Can They Be Resolved?

Login loops, where users are redirected back to the login page after attempting to access a specific portal or event, are a common issue. These loops often occur due to insufficient permissions. Below, we outline the common causes and steps to resolve these issues.

Insufficient Permission to Access


No Enterprise / White Label Portal Access

When accessing the Enterprise / White Label Dashboard, login loops can occur if the email does not have the necessary permissions. This often means the email address is not associated as a team member in the Enterprise or White Label Dashboard.

How to resolve?

  • If you do not have access, request a teammate with the appropriate permissions to add your email as an admin to the Enterprise or White Label Dashboard.

  • If you're not supposed to have access to the Enterprise or White Label Dashboard, log in the regular way through the Accelevents log in page.

Already Logged In

If you're already logged in, and you access the Enterprise / White Label Dashboard log in page, it may redirect you to the latest event admin console you accessed. Although this is not a looping problem, it may not be the page you're expecting to see as for most platforms when you access a log in page when you're already logged in, it will take you at the same page where you landed when you logged in.

How to resolve?

  • We are improving this behavior, we will make it redirect to Enterprise / White Label Dashboard as it makes more sense to be on that page than to be on specific event. Stay tuned for updates.

  • In the meantime, if you're already logged in or you don't know if you're already logged in, access the Enterprise / White Label Dashboard. Anyway if you're not logged in, it will redirect you to the log in page. You may want to bookmark the dashboard.


No Event Admin Access Permissions

When accessing logging in using the Accelevents log in page, you will be redirected to My Events and from here, you'll see all the event where you're an event admin or attendee. The events with the edit button are the event where you're also added as an event admin. Although there is no looping problem here, you may find that some events under your organization may not appear here, which will make you think that there's something wrong with your access. This often means that the email address is not associated as a team member in the event level, but is a team member in the higher levels (organizer and E/WL Dashboard).

How to resolve?

  • If you do not have access to the event from My Events, access your organizer portal and access the events from there. Then, add your email as an event admin to the event if you want to see it under My Events.

If you continue to experience login issues, contact your team administrator or the Accelevents support team for further assistance.
