Connect Square to Accelevents

Credit card processing allows your attendees to pay for tickets, donations and bids directly from their mobile device or computer. This leads to increased ease for your attendees, higher sales, and more efficient checkout.

To use credit card processing, you can quickly and easily set up a Square account through your Accelevents Admin Console.

Notes:

  • Square can only be used to process USD when connected with Accelevents. Your Square account must be connected to a US bank account with currency set to USD.

  • If you're currency is not in USD, Stripe is preferred for this use case as Stripe supports in-platform currency exchange. Square doesn't have any currency conversion features and that's partly why we can only work with Square if the currency is in US and the bank account is also in US.

  • Square cannot be connected for Enterprise and White Label accounts

  • Ticket exchanges cannot be performed for events that use Square as payment processor.

Connect Square Through The Admin Console

  • Go to Settings > Payment Processing from your admin console

  • Click Connect with Square to connect your payment processing

  • A pop-up window will open, asking you to log in to your Square account. Follow the next prompts to log in.

  • Your Square account status will now show as "Connected" in your Accelevents console.

Note: You can only use a live Square account with Accelevents. A sandbox or test mode account will not work.

Event Billing ID and Metadata fields

The Event Billing ID and Metadata fields as seen above will appear after connecting the payment processor. If you have billing codes within your organization, you can add them to that field, and they will appear in the transaction within your payment processor.

These will also appear as columns in the All Transactions Report that you can download from the Enterprise / White Label Dashboard.
