Postponing an Event

If you've had to postpone your event for any reason, there are a few easy but necessary steps you should take.

Update Your Event Site

In the Event Description area, add a sentence letting site visitors know that the event has been postponed. You may want to change the "Buy Tickets" button to read "Postponed" or hide the button in Registration > Set up Tickets.

Contact your Attendees

From Engage > Send Email, you can send an email directly to everyone who has purchased a ticket to your event. You do not have to add them as contacts.

Draft an email and select "All Attendees/Buyers" as your recipients.

Mark Your Event as Postponed

At the top of your Admin Console, click the "Publish" button and choose "Postpone" from the dropdown menu. This will mark the date and time of your event as Postponed on your event page and on the Accelevents event listing site.
