The Event Carousel displays the images of your event sponsors and exhibitors. It is located in the upper right corner of the virtual event hub, just above the chat area. Depending on where you are in the virtual event hub, you'll see different sets of image streams. If you're in the attendee app, you can also see a carousel for sponsors. Below, you'll learn where those carousel images will appear and how to make them appear there!
Three areas where the carousel images can be found:
Important Notes:
Carousel images will appear in the order they are arranged in the admin console, top to bottom.
The first carousel image appears from left to right. The rest appears from right to left. There is no option to change the direction.
There is no limit to the maximum duration an image can be shown in the carousel.
Only 1 image pers sponsor or exhibitor can be shown in the carousel.
Exhibitor and sponsor carousel images can be in the same carousel only if it's in a session carousel.
GIF files can work with carousels.
The sponsor's image will show first in the session carousel if the session has sponsors and exhibitors.
Only Mainstage, Regular and Workshop sessionscan have sessions carousels.
If you add a sponsor or exhibitor to a networking session, you'll see them if you're in the Networking tab in the virtual event hub.And when you click a session to see the details, only sponsors will show.
The Lobby Carousel
This displays the carousel image of your event sponsors in the lobby. Upon adding sponsors to your event you have the option to have their carousel image displayed here and also determine the display duration.
Add a Sponsor Carousel Image to the Lobby Carousel
Go to Exhibitor and Sponsors
Select Sponsors tab
Click the pencil icon to edit an exhibitor or click + New Sponsors to add a new sponsor
Upload a Carousel Image (jpeg, png, gif at 300 x 150 pixels)
Scroll up and click the Placement tab
Enable Show Sponsorship on Lobby Carousel
Set the duration of how long the image will appear in Carousel Display Time (in Seconds)
Note: If you add a Sponsor URL and the Sponsor Carousel Image is clicked, it will redirect to the given Sponsor URL
Note: As a default, the images appear in the order they are listed, but you can Randomize Carousel Display. Go to the Sponsors tab, click Configure Sponsors, and enable Randomize Carousel Display to show sponsors in a random order. This applies to the lobby and session carousels.
The Expo Carousel
This displays the carousel image of your exhibitors at the expo. Upon adding exhibitors, same with your sponsors, you have the option to have the exhibitor carousel images displayed here and also determine the display duration.
Add an Exhibitor Carousel Image to the Expo Carousel
Go to Exhibitor and Sponsors
Select Exhibitors tab
Click the pencil icon to edit an exhibitor or click + Add Exhibitors to add a new exhibitor.
Go to the Settings tab, then enable Include In Expo Carousel
Set the duration of how long the carousel image will appear in Carousel Display Time (in Seconds)
To upload a carousel image, go to the Design tab
Note: If the Exhibitor Carousel Image is clicked from the virtual event hub, it will redirect to the booth. If the Exhibitor Carousel Image is clicked from the event landing page, it will redirect to the URL indicated in Settings > Link to Site.
The Session Carousel
This displays the exhibitor and/or sponsor inside a session. Aside from their carousel image on the session carousel, they also appear in the sponsoring company tab.
Add Exhibitor and/or Sponsor to the Session Carousel
Once you have enabled the option to include them in the carousel in the exhibitor or sponsor settings, you must select the exhibitor or sponsor to be added to the session.
Go to Agenda and Speakers
Click the pencil icon to edit.
Scroll down to Exhibitors and Sponsors
Enter the exhibitor name or sponsor name that you want to add to that session.
Attendee App Sponsor Carousel
If you're using the attendee app for your event, the carousel above won't apply, instead there will be a dedicated sponsor carousel for the app. It can appear on the app's My Events page, Landing Page, and Lobby.
