Track Session Attendance in HubSpot
With the HubSpot and Accelevents integration, you can track attendee session registrations and attendance directly in HubSpot. If there is a session broadcast, you can also see how long the attendee has stayed in the session to watch the video. This will work if in your integration, you have Marketing Events connected and Session Engagement is enabled.
Before You Begin
Before you begin make sure that you'e done the following:
✅ HubSpot and Accelevents is integrated
✅ Marketing Events is chosen as attendee destination in the integration settings
How Does it Work?
When attendees register for a session or checks in to a session, a Session Engagement record will be created in HubSpot. In the record, you will see the session name, session ID, event name, registration or attendance date, information as to how long they watched a live or recorded virtual session and a lot more. If they registered for a session and decided to unregister later, you'll also see the status update to cancelled.
Enable Session Engagement Tracking
When setting up your integration, you're asked to choose whether attendees will show up in a Marketing Event or Static Lists. In this step, make sure that Marketing Event is selected, then check the box for Session Engagement.
When Session Engagement is enabled in the organizer or Enterprise / White Label level integrations settings, that means that all events under it will have Session Engagement enabled.
Once you have this enabled, you can test it by registering for the event and start registering and joining sessions.
⚠️ If you don't want a particular event to be tracking this in HubSpot, you can turn it off in the event's admin console's Settings > Integrations > HubSpot Configure menu > disable Session Engagement.
Find Session Engagements in HubSpot
⚠️ Session Engagement records may take up to 15 minutes to populate in HubSpot after registering or checking in to the session as these are generated in batches.

From Contacts, click on the dropdown on top where Contacts is selected and choose Session Engagements under All Objects

Here you will see all the session engagement records that are created. The Engagement ID will include the last part of your event URL, the session ID, and the attendee's email address.
