Chat, Polls and Q&A for Exhibitors in Exhibitor Booths

Chatting with attendees, and other interactive elements in the booth like polls and Q&A are great tools to discover more about your booth's visitors. These can easily be accessed by exhibitors in the Exhibitor Resource Center or directly inside the booth inside the expo.

There's also an internal chat room for exhibitors in the virtual event hub to easily communicate with the team privately.

Note: These features are not available in the attendee app, these can only be accessed through a browser.

Access the ERC

After an exhibitor is added to the booth as a team member, an email will be sent with a Access the Resource Center button. When clicked, it will redirect to the ERC.

Enable / Disable the Chat, Polls and Q&A

In the ERC's Profile Design tab, go to Customization and enable / disable the interactive elements. By default these are all turned on.

Access the Chat, Polls and Q&A

In the ERC's Leads tab, go to the Chat with a lead tab. In the center, you'll see the booth's chat thread. On the right side panel, you'll see Polls and Q&A.

If you go to the virtual event hub to access your booth in the expo, all 3 will be on the right side panel.

Booth Chat

The Booth Chat appears on the right side panel of the booth. Attendees can send their messages here and since this is a public chat, anyone who enters the booth will see the messages here. As exhibitors, you can also send your messages from the booth, or you can do send it from the ERC's Leads tab.

Aside from just replying with simple text, you can attach a file, add emojis, react to a post, mention another attendee, react to a post, and reply to a previous comment, which will start a new thread.

Exhibitor Polls

Create a Poll

Click Create a Poll from the Polls tab. Type in your question and the answer options. You'll have the option to add more answers, delete an answer field, allow visitors to select more than one answer, and show them the results after they submit an answer. You can choose whether the poll will appear as a push notification or a pop-up when you publish. If you're not ready to publish yet, you can save it as draft. You can add as many polls you want.

Note: You cannot un-publish a poll, but you can delete it.

Answer a Poll

To answer polls, attendees can click on the push notification link, and this would open the pop-up where they can answer. If they missed the push notification or pop-up, they can go to the polls tab and answer it from there.

Poll Results and End

The poll result should show immediately, but you can also click refresh. To close the poll, click End Poll. You can also hide it after it has ended.

Download Poll Results

In the ERC's Leads tab, you can download the poll results as a CSV file.

Exhibitor Q&A

Respond to a Question

To reply to a question submitted through Q&A, click Answer to type in the answer and you can choose whether to send it privately or publicly. Click the checkmark to indicate that the question was answered live.

You can also choose to dismiss the question. When you dismiss, you can still choose to reopen it.

There's also a filter option and sort the view to the latest, oldest, or most upvoted question on top.

.

After sending your answer, you can still edit or delete your answer, or delete the question.
