Pop-up Notifications and Sound Alerts

While in the event, you may get messages and requests with pop-up notifications and sound alerts which can be a little distracting if you're watching a session or meeting with other attendees. You can turn off any sound notifications by going through your profile settings inside the event.

Customize Your Notification Settings

  • Login and enter the Virtual Event Hub

  • Click on your profile at the top right-hand side

  • Click Settings

  • Select the Notifications tab

  • Check the boxes if you want to receive notifications

  • For Speakers: If you're a speaker in the Studio or an admin monitoring the sessions, your chat box will have a Backstage tab. The sound alerts for the backstage chat may get distracting while presenting. To turn on / off the notifications for backstage messages, uncheck the box for Backstage.

  • Note: You can only edit your profile settings in the Virtual Event Hub. It cannot be accessed while in the Studio.

  • For Exhibitors: If you're an exhibitor, you should also see an option to enable/disable notifications from the My Booth tab.

  • For Speakers and Moderators inside the Studio (Tokbox only) you will be able to update or manage your Accelevents notifications.

    • Click Settings

    • A right sidebar will open, click the Notifications tab

    • Select the preferred Notifications and click Save

Notifications vs Sound Alerts

Notifications that you allow from the list will be shown inside the bell icon at the top. This will show notifications you have not opened yet.

Sound alerts simply play a short "ding" audio to notify you of messages you have allowed from the Notifications list.
