To keep attendees engaged in a session, they can participate in polls, chat and ask questions through the Q&A tab. If attendees access the event through the Attendee App, they can easily see these features below the video stream. Admins and speakers can also go to the Attendee App and enter the session to participate in these activities.

Important Note: These features are still in beta, so they may not work the same way when accessed through a browser.

If you don't have the app yet, just scan this QR code to download it from the App Store or Google Play. Once you have your app on your phone, log in and join a session.

Session Activity

Inside the session, you'll see 2 main tabs:

  • Details - this will show you the session schedule, duration, other session details and speakers.

  • Activity - this will show you 4 sub tabs:

    • Chat - allows you to enter a message that will be seen by all attendees in the session

    • People - allows you to see the other attendees that have entered the session

    • Polls - allows you to see open polls and answer polls.

    • Q&A - allows you to see publicly asked questions and post questions.

App Session Chat

  • To participate in the chat, simply type your message and hit send.

  • You can add emojis, attach pdf files or images to your message.

  • Hold down a message to see other options, such as reply in a thread, copy message and react to the message.

  • If you're holding down your message, you'll see options to edit or delete the message.

Important Notes:

  • This feature is still in beta, so you won't get any notifications if there's a new chat message.

  • A deleted message will still show in the app but will be completely deleted if you view it from a browser.

  • Reacting to a message won't show in the app, but those accessing the session through a browser will see the reaction.

  • Replies through a thread can only be seen in the app if you click "Reply in a Thread" again.

  • There is no backstage chat in the app.

  • Admins and speakers cannot delete attendee messages from the app.

  • There is no option to block an attendee from the chat through the app.

  • There is no option to pin messages.

App Session People Tab

  • This will show you everyone who has been in the session, including attendees, admins and speakers.

  • Click the chat icon to send a direct message to the attendee.

  • Once you're inside the direct message page, you'll have the options to connect and request a meeting with the attendee.

  • To return to the previous menu, click the arrow on the upper left.

Important Note:

  • This feature is still in beta, so you won't get any notifications if you get a reply.

App Session Polls

  • The polls tab will allow you to see open polls and answer them.

  • Click the arrow to expand or hide the poll.

  • After submitting your answer, you will see what you selected or poll results, depending on the event admin's set up.

  • If the poll has ended, you will see the poll results.

Important Notes:

  • This feature is still in beta, so you won't get any notifications if there is a new poll published.

  • Polls cannot be created, published and ended in the app.

App Session Q&A

  • The Q&A tab will allow you to view publicly submitted questions and answers and submit your questions.

  • You will have the option to submit your questions publicly or privately.

  • Only event admins can see a private question.

Important Notes:

  • This feature is still in beta, so you won't get any notifications if there's a new Q&A.

  • Submitted questions can only be answered through a browser.
