Remove items that you may not need for your attendee app to avoid confusion

Add, Remove, Rename, and Rearrange Buttons in the Attendee App

To ensure your attendees have the best experience using the attendee app, you must set it up to fit your attendee needs. In this article, you'll learn which items you can add, remove, rename, and rearrange in the attendee app. You'll also learn which colors and images will show in the app.

How can I add a new button?

You can add a custom lobby tab from your admin console. It will appear in the lobby through a browser and as a button in the app's lobby. You can add up to 14 custom lobby tabs.

Go to Event Design > Event Hub > Lobby > + Add Custom Tab.

Note: There is no option to add a new bottom navigation item.

What buttons can be hidden?

In the image below, everything with a red box is an item you can hide in the attendee app. Note that if these features are hidden or disabled, they will also be disabled when the event is accessed through a browser.

These items can be hidden in:

Event Design > Event Hub > Lobby

  • Feed

  • Sponsors

  • Info Desk

  • Gamification

  • Agenda

Event Design > Event Hub > Navigation

  • Main Stage Sessions

  • Lounges

  • People

  • Expo

Event Design > Event Website

  • Venue Map

Engage > Meetings > Configuration

  • My Meetings

All the Configure Navigation tabs can be hidden from the app's landing page.

Which labels can be renamed?

In the image below, the items in the green boxes are the items that you can rename. Each button's function will remain the same even if you rename them. Note that the new name will also be reflected in the event it is accessed through a browser.

These items can be renamed in:

Event Design > Event Hub > Lobby

  • Feed

  • Sponsors

  • Info Desk

  • Gamification

  • Agenda

Event Design > Event Hub > Navigation

  • Lounges

  • Lobby

  • People

  • Expo

Event Design > Event Website

  • Venue Map

  • all other tabs can also be renamed that appear on the event landing page

Note: There is no option to change the icons.

Which buttons can be rearranged?

The app's lobby buttons, which are also lobby tabs in the browser, are the only buttons that can be rearranged.

Go to Event Design > Event Hub > Lobby > Drag the rearrange icon.

Note: Event Landing Page tabs cannot be rearranged in the app

What colors carry over to the app?

Only session track colors carry over to the app. The other color settings only apply to the browser.

What event images carry over to the app?

Not all event images added through the admin console, like the expo background image or the call to action button image, appear in the attendee app. The items below are the only images that will show in the app.
