The Lobby Custom Tab

If you have additional information that you want attendees to see in the event, you can add a custom tab in the event hub's lobby, available in the browser and attendee app. You can add text, images, and more to customize your lobby tab, or you can choose to add a page URL and have that page open in the browser or in the attendee app.

Add a Lobby Custom Tab

  • Go to the Event Design > Event Hub of your admin console.

  • Select Lobby

  • Click + Add Custom Tab

Custom Tab Settings

  • Name - This is the display name.

  • Button Icon - Upload a button image to be displayed in the attendee app.

  • Button Action - Select an action for the button: either open a custom page to add personalized content or redirect to a URL within the app or an external browser.

  • Content - You can use it for almost anything. You can add text, images, videos, media players, social media pages, games, etc. By embedding a code, you can easily add widgets from other sites.

  • Add Widget - Aside from showing the agenda at the bottom menu of the attendee app, you can have the agenda shown as a button in the lobby. You can customize which session would show in the custom tab. Using this will override any data in the content field.

  • Restrict Access - This is optional. If enabled, you can select which ticket types can view and access the custom tab.

Click the 3-dot menu to delete or edit the custom tab.

Notes:

  • If you're Redirecting to a URL, and attendees click on buttons on the page, they can be redirected to the connected pages, however there are some actions that may not allow them to move forward, such as logging in to an account (if it's a log in page). The URL is meant for viewing so other actions may not work.

  • If the redirect URL is an Accelevents URL (e.g. landing page url), it may not load in the virtual event hub, you may need to open it in a new tab.

Lobby Custom Tab in the Browser

The lobby custom tab will appear as one of the tabs under the virtual event hub's lobby menu.

Lobby Custom Tab in the Attendee App

The lobby custom tab will appear as a box or button in the attendee app's lobby page. When clicked, it will show the contents of the lobby custom tab.
