Have Them Accept or Decline Your Request to Attend
The Contact Invite feature allows you to invite contacts from a list directly to your event and track their response status. Once invited, contacts can accept or decline the invitation, making it easy to monitor who has confirmed their attendance.
When they accept, they will be redirected to the registration page where they can start selecting tickets. If they decline, they will be redirected to the landing page and will see a pop-up message that confirms their decision. This way, they can take a look at he event and hopefully change their minds.
Before You Begin
Before you begin make sure you've already done the following:
β Create the list with contacts you want to invite
Set the Decline Message
Open the static list you created in Engage > Contact Lists, then click the Settings button. From here you can add the message that they will see in the landing page pop-up when they choose to decline the invitation, or you can choose to redirect them to a different page by adding a URL.

Create the Contact Invite Email
When you create your contact invite email in Engage > Emails, choose the static list you created for recipient.
In the email body, you can add 2 buttons to accept or decline the invite. Select the button object from the template, then click Merge Tags from the pop-up menu. Click the copy button for the accept and decline merge tags.
When you paste it to the button URL, it will paste the appropriate link to register or the link to see the landing page with the pop up for when they decline.
That's it! Schedule or send the email now to your contacts. You can also send a test email to yourself. When they click the accept button, they will be redirected to the registration page to select tickets, and when they decline they will be redirected to the landing page and see the decline pop-up message.
Invite Status
When they register for the event or decline, you'll see their status update in the list.
Notes:
If they declined already and changed their mind, their status will update to registered after they register.
If they are registered and their ticket is cancelled, then the status will. update as well.
