Event Duplication
Are you running an event similar to a past event you've hosted, or are you looking to duplicate the event you have so that you can do tests without messing up your actual event? If so, you can save some time by duplicating that event.ย
Duplicate an Event from Your Profile
Click your profile on the upper right corner and select My Events
Click Duplicate on the event.
Add the Event Name
Edit the last part of the Event URL
Add the event Start Date and End Date
Select the event elements to copy to the new event.
Click Duplicate to confirm.
Duplicate an Event from the Organizer Portal
You can also duplicate an event from the Organizer Portal by clicking the 3 dots and clicking Duplicate.
What Can Be Duplicated?
The pop-up will have a list of items you want to include in the duplicated event.

Session Duplication Behavior
1. Only Accelevents Studio and RTMP stream providers will be included in new event.
2. Uploaded session videos are not included in the new event.
3. Sessions will be duplicated if it's within the new event's duration.
Scenario 1:
The original event is a 4 day event, with sessions for all 4 days.
The duplicated event is a 3 day event, only sessions from day 1 to 3 will be included in the new event.
Scenario 2:
The original event is a 1 day event from 9am to 5pm, with 8 sessions - 1 hour sessions from start to end.
The duplicated event is a 1 day event from 1pm to 5pm, only the last 4 sessions will be included in the event.
Gamification Duplication Behavior
Duplicating the gamification settings will automatically duplicate exhibitor booths, sessions, and tickets types.
Gamification tiers cannot be duplicated.
Challenges will be included in the duplicated event if the original challenges' duration is within the new event's duration.
Scenario 1:
The original event is a 4 day event with challenges open for 4 days too.
The duplicated event is a 3 day event, the challenges will not be copied over to the new event because the challenges are open for 4 days.
Scenario 2:
The original event is a 1 day event from 9am to 5pm, with challenges starting from 9am to 5pm.
The duplicated event is a 1 day event from 1pm to 5pm, the challenges will not be copied over to the new event because the challenge duration exceeds the event's duration.
Email Duplication Behavior
All confirmation email templates can be duplicated
Draft reminder and engage emails can be duplicated
Sent and scheduled reminder and engage emails cannot be duplicated
Push Notifications Duplication Behavior
All draft push notifications can be duplicated
If Manage Contacts are included in the duplicated event and a Contact List is assigned as recipient of the push notification, then the Contact List will be included in the settings of the duplicated push notification draft.
If Manage Contacts are not included in the duplicated event, then the recipient of the push notification will be blank.
This also works for saving as a template.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I retrieve a deleted event?
No, once deleted, you can no longer retrieve it. This is a permanent delete from our system, so even our tech team cannot recover this.
