What is iFrame?

Think of iFrame as the virtual version of a picture frame and your stream as the photo. It is code used to “frame” your live stream. There are two major areas where it can be applied in Accelevents:

  1. For Closed Captioning & Interpretation in a Session

  2. For Embedding Spotify, Advertisement Banners, and Games

  3. Custom Tab in the Virtual Event Hub

For Closed Captioning & Interpretation in a Session

Open your session for editing. Under Advanced Settings of your session details, you’ll see the iFrame field. This is where you will apply your closed caption iFrame or interpretation iFrame.

Once you add the URL to the iFrame field, you'll see a field to adjust the size of the iFrame height (pixels).

The iFrame box should appear below the session broadcast.

Other Closed Captioning Options

Embedding Spotify, Advertisement Banners, and Games

if you're not adding closed captioning, you may want to use the iFrame feature to entertain your attendees or even promote your exhibitors and sponsors.

Custom Tab in the Virtual Event Hub

From the Admin Console, navigate to the Custom Tab through the following steps:

Event Website > Virtual Event Hub > Lobby > Custom Tab

Here you can embed iFrame for something like a social media feed or other media:

Kabab Icon > Code Icon (<>) > Paste your iFrame code.

To create embedded social media feeds, we recommend looking into a provider like https://flockler.com/. A provider like this will also be able to provide an iFrame code.
