Select Which Ticket Types Can Join the Event in the Attendee App

When setting up your event, you may want to limit which attendees can join through the attendee app based on their ticket. For those with access, you can also set a date as to when they can access the event in the app.

This is useful if you're selling ticket tiers where a certain ticket type has earlier access to the app, or perhaps you want attendees with a virtual ticket to exclusively access the virtual event hub through a browser. Or perhaps, you have exhibitors in-an in-person event and you want them to access the app once they get access to their booth so they can also check how their booth would look like in the attendee app.

By default all ticket types can access the attendee app when the event opens. To make changes, you'll need to go in to the advanced settings of each ticket type.

Note: You'll need the Attendee App add on to use this feature.

Remove The Attendee App Access

  • Go to Registration > Set Up Tickets

  • Open the ticket for editing

  • Go to Advanced Settings

  • Unselect Allow this ticket type to access the event on the Attendee App

  • Click Save

Change the Attendee App Access Date

By default, the date would be your event start date.

  • Go to Registration > Set Up Tickets

  • Open the ticket for editing

  • Go to Advanced Settings

  • Under Attendee App, make sure to select Allow this ticket type to access the event on the Attendee App

  • Set the app access date

  • Click Save
