Have Attendee Answers Appear in Their Profile
In addition to the attendee's name appearing in their profile automatically, you can have more information auto-populate in the attendee's profile when they access the virtual event hub or attendee app.
What Can Be Shown in the Attendee Profile?
1. Default Profile Fields
Aside from the name, by default, these fields can auto-populate in their profile if they've answered them during registration:
Organization
Job Title
Pronouns
About Me
Interests
Social Media Links - Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
โ ๏ธ These fields will populate under these conditions:
The fields above will populate if you include those default fields in your registration without renaming the labels. In the profile, the field appears as "Company" but in the order form, the field name should be "Organization", it will not work if you rename it.
The fields above will populate if the attendee has never logged in to an event (even for other events). If the attendee has entered the virtual event hub or attendee app previously, it will not override their previous profile information.
The fields above will populate if the first time they enter the event is through the virtual event hub and not the attendee app. So if their only access is through the attendee app (e.g. in-person events), only their name and interests will populate - they will need to manually add the other information.
Notes:
All the fields mentioned above can be edited by attendees in their profile.
Even if you do not include the fields above in the registration, attendees will see the fields when they edit their profile as these are default profile fields.
The email address will also show in the profile edit page, but cannot be edited, and it wouldn't be visible for other attendees.
If edits are made in the order for these default profile fields before the attendee logs in, the new answers will populate in the profile, but if it's done after logging in, changes will not reflect in the profile.
2. Other Order Form Fields
Other order form fields can also be shown in the profile, but since these are not default profile fields, you'll need to enable the toggle to Display this field on attendee profile in the ticket holder field settings. Any question in your order form can be added to the profile except if it's a Conditional Question.
Notes:
These fields will only be displayed in the profile, attendees won't be able to edit their answers through their profile.
Both the question and answer will show in the profile.
These fields will populate in the virtual event hub and attendee app profile regardless of how they enter the event or if they've previously entered an event.
If changes are done to these fields, it will update in the profile even if the attendee has already checked in.
Enable The Fields That Will Appear in the Profile
Go to Registration > Order Form > Settings
Enable Collect both Ticket Buyer and Ticket Holder Information
Go to the Ticket Holder tab
If it's a default profile field, enable the Active toggle
If it's the Interest field, you'll need to create your interest tags first before you can enable it.
If it's not a default profile field, enable the Active toggle, then open the field settings and enable the toggle to Display this field on attendee profile
Notes:
Ensure that you do not change the labels on the default profile fields.
Fields will also auto-populate in the profile if attendees are manually added or imported through CSV and integrated CRM.
If it's a default profile field and you turn on the toggle to Display this field on the attendee profile, the field will show twice in the profile.
Test as an Attendee
Sign up for your event as an attendee.
Use an email address that has never registered for any event in Accelevents.
Enter the virtual event hub to check your profile. (If this is a future event, add that attendee as an admin so that you can access the virtual event hub for testing purposes)
The profile fields should show the information you provided during registration.
