As an admin, you can restrict attendees' access to the lounges, chat, and exhibitor booths by adding restrictions based on their ticket type.

Restrict Lounge, Chat, and Expo Access

To set this up, create a ticket type for your event. If you don't have one yet, click here to learn how to create one.

  • Open your ticket type for editing.

  • Go to Advanced Settings

  • Under Other Restrictions, select whether you would like to restrict lounges, chat, or the exhibitor booths. You may select more than one.

  • Click Save

The attendees who purchase that ticket will not see the area you have restricted. When they enter the virtual event hub, they won't see the Lounges and Expo tab in the navigation. For attendees with Chat restriction, they will still see a Chat area, but it will say "Send a direct message to activate the chat" because they don't have access to Lobby, Session, and Expo chats but can still send a direct message to other attendees and chat with them.

The chat and booth restrictions will also apply in the attendee app. For lounges, it will only apply to the virtual event hub access through a browser, but we will also include the attendee app too, stay tuned for updates!
